How To Speed Up Compost For Garden Use

Time to plant your garden or mulch it, but it’s questionable as to whether your compost is ready or not? You can speed up your compost so that it will be ready without question, in one day.
This will only work for compost that is almost ready for garden use, not a new pile of compost, though this process will get the compost pile off to a heated start.
Take your almost ready compost and spread it out in a thin layer on a hot concrete driveway or walkway, on a very sunny day. Stir or rake the compost several times throughout the day.
After a day of cooking in the sun on hot concrete, your compost will be ready to use in the garden. The heat has killed any harmful microorganisms that may have been lurking in your almost ready compost.
