How To Choose The Right Location For Your Garden
Location is key for a garden. Most vegetable plants (and flowers) do their best when planted in a location that receives full sun. Choose a location for your garden that will receive at least 6 hours of sun each day.
Once you have chosen a sunny location for your garden, plan your garden layout before you plant anything to ensure that taller growing vegetable plants will not shade the shorter plants.
The tallest garden plants, like corn and pole beans, need to be planted on the north or west side of the garden so they won’t shade the shorter growing garden plants.
